Vadodara (Gujarat), Jul 28 (ANI): A temporary ban has been put on the popular street snack, ‘Gol Gappa’ or ‘Panipuri’ considering its health effects in monsoon season. According to the officials at Vadodara Municipal Corporation officials the snack is made in unhygienic condition in monsoon season considering which the food authorities have destroyed all the materials used in making Panipuri. Mukesh Vaidya, Health Officer, VMC said, “Many areas across Vadodara we were getting cases of diarrhea and vomiting. Our food safety team is working on this. The water used in Panipuri was being made in unhygienic condition. Our food safety officers are taking review of different areas. We are destroying the raw materials used in making panipuri which are used in unhygienic conditions.
