Yogi government gives approval to file chargesheet against Azam Khan for criticising Army

Rampur (UP), Jul 26 (ANI): Days after veteran Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan made controversial remarks on security personnel, the Uttar Pradesh government has given the approval to file chargesheet against him. Rampur Additional Superintendent of Police Sudha Singh said, “Administration grants approval to police for action against former UP Minister Azam Khan in a police complaint filed against him for a press statement he made against Indian Army on June 27, 2017.” The Samajwadi Party leader had said that ‘terrorists had been chopping off private parts of Army personnel to send ‘a strong message that should leave the entire nation ashamed.’ Khan was addressing a party workers meeting in Rmapur’s SP Office.
