Panaji (Goa), Jul 26 (ANI): A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA in Goa, Michael Lobo stirred a fresh controversy over beef consumption in Goa. Talking about the Goa meat complex and beef shortage in the union territory Lobo said “People in large numbers in Goa eat beef and you cannot stop that”. “Some so called cow protectors are standing at the state border and blocking entry for beef being brought to Goa. Goa meat complex is shut. We’ve failed on this front. There are many meat eaters in Goa. Tourists come here to eat beef. There is a shortage of beef”, the legislator added.
