Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Aug 23 (ANI): A 164-year-old Coimbatore school has been on the receiving end of public menace of open urination. This has resulted in many students enrolling out of the government school. According to school’s report, which holds classes from 1st to 5th standard, there is almost a 50% drop in enrollments in the past 5 years. The school authorities complain that they and the students are subjected to the stench coming from the school’s compound walls. There are also complaints of dirt and garbage piling up around the school. Parents and teachers complain that people continue urinating on their wall despite police and municipality intervention. A small urinal was even set up by the municipality in the vicinity, but the practice still continues.
