Army restores concrete bridge connecting Idukki’s Virinjapara village

Idukki (Kerala), Aug 12 (ANI): The concrete bridge connecting Virinjapara village in Idukki’s Mankulam area has now been restored after it was washed away two days back. The village is populated by over 800 families. According to the Indian Army, rescue operations are going on persistently to fight the bad weather, poor communications and connectivity. A total of more than 1000 people including elderly women and children were rescued from various locations where teams are presently operating. The death toll due to flooding in Kerala has reached to 37.
