Guwahati (Assam), Aug 02 (ANI): Assam Governor Jagdish Mukhi on Thursday called the NRC Draft a ‘historical’ event and assured the protection of every Assamese. He said, “Draft of NRC is a major historical event for the Assamese as it is done as per the Assam accord. I want to assure the people of Assam that no Indian would be left without getting listed in the final NRC report. People should not pay attention to any rumors. We assure the protection of every Assamese.”
