Capt Amarinder Singh names 5 people involved in 1984 Anti-Sikh riots

Chandigarh (Punjab), Aug 27 (ANI): Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Monday named 5 people who were involved in the 1984-Sikh riots. Confirming with Rahul Gandhi’s statement shrugging off Congress’s responsibility from the Anti-Sikh riots, he said, “The incident took place when Indira ji was killed, at that time Rajiv Gandhi was at an airport in Bengal. There was no Congress involvement other than some people. I have named few people, Sajjan Kumar, Dharamdas Shastri, Arjun Das and 2 more people.” Stirring a political controversy, Rahul Gandhi on August 26 said, Congress was not involved in the massacre of Sikhs that followed after Indira Gandhi’s assassination in 1984.
