Leh (J&K), Aug 08 (ANI): In a first, a two-day cultural festival was held near the border area of the remote Turtuk village in Leh. The cultural program was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. The aim was to promote and preserve the age-old tradition. Scores of people from Leh and the surrounding regions like Kargil participated in the two-day extravaganza. Mehfil-e-Mushaira, a traditional horse polo match, famous Turtuk sword dance, Balti folk song and popular Shondol dance were some of the attractions of the festival.
