Extensive plantation necessary to ensure cleanliness of river Ganga: CM Yogi

Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh), Aug 13 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended a ‘Namami Gange’ programme in Kanpur on Monday. The event was also attended by Union River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Nitin Gadkari. In his address at the event, CM Yogi said, “To ensure the purity and cleanliness of river Ganga. It is necessary that on each shore of Ganga and Yamuna, we make a large pond to store water in them and make extensive plantation every one kilometer.” He also said that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari assured him no drainage will go into river Ganges from December 15.
