Leh (Jammu and Kashmir), Aug 30 (ANI): The department of Agriculture and Horticulture jointly organised a day-long Fruits and Vegetable Exhibition at the Indoor Stadium in Leh on Thursday. The exhibition aimed to encourage the farmers in farming activity for the sustainable development in the region. Farmers from different villages also participated in the exhibition to exhibit variety of fruits, vegetable and flowers besides number of agriculture tools, seeds, manures and pesticides. This exhibition is organised every year in the month of August. In the end of exhibition, the winners in the different categories were awarded with cash rewards to encourage the farmers.
