Guwahati (Assam), Aug 05 (ANI): Supreme Court mandated coordinator of National Register of Citizens (NRC) Prateek Hajela on Sunday assured that around 40 lakh people not in the completed draft of the list will neither be jailed nor be deported. “The government has cleared its stand & that is that people whose names are not present in NRC will neither be jailed nor will they be deported”, said Hajela while talking to ANI. Hajela, an IAS officer has been involved in NRC Assam data since 2013.
