India, Pak would have been united if Jinnah had become PM: Dalai Lama

Panaji (Goa), Aug 08 (ANI): Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama on Wednesday stated that if Jinnah would have become Independent India’s Prime Minister then India and Pakistan would have been united. He called this scenario a mistake and said that mistakes also happen. Speaking at the Goa Institute of Management, the Dalai Lama said, “Mahatma Gandhi was willing to make Jinnah the Prime Minister of India but Jawaharlal Nehru refused. He had the self centered attitude that he should be the Prime Minister. If what Mahatma Gandhi wanted would have materialised then India and Pakistan would have been united. Sometimes mistakes also happen”
