Amravati (Maharashtra), Aug 06 (ANI): At least 46 infants died over a period of four months due to malnutrition in Melghat area of Amravati, Maharashtra. On Sunday (August 05), tribal health workers and hospital workers brought protein rich food to the village’s malnourished children. Collector of Amravati, Abhijit Bangar said, “The cases which are reported throughout the year, maximum cases are registered in the four months of monsoon. Few initiatives have been taken to curb infant deaths.”
