Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir), Aug 24 (ANI): Emotions and happiness ran high at District Jail Udhampur as sisters tied rakhi to their brothers ahead of Raksha Bandhan. Jail Authorities of District Jail Udhampur organised a programme on the occasion of Eid as well as Raksha Bandhan and first time in history of Jammu and Kashmir, Jail authorities invited the parents and sisters of jail inmates. Jail Superintendent Rajni Sehgal tied rakhi to inmates and asked them to pledge to not do any wrong in society and after releasing from jail they should live life as other people live. “Today we are organising a programme for which I want to thank our Director General. This initiative has taken place for the first time where families of the inmates have been invited to celebrate the festivals,” She said.
