Kerala floods: Aluva Shiva Temple submerges in Periyar River

Aluva (Kerala), Aug 10 (ANI): As flash floods hit parts of Kerala due to continuous rainfall in the state, Aluva’s famous Shiva Temple got completely submerged under water on Friday. The water level has increased significantly in Periyar River following incessant rains. The Aluva Mahadev Temple is situated on the banks of river Periyar. Normal lives have been affected badly in the state. Rescue operations by natural disasters response teams and armed forces have been initiated in Kerala. Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit the state to take stock of the situation on August 12.
