Puthencavu (Kerala)/ Thrissur (Kerala), Aug 16 (ANI): The Indo-Tibetan Border Police jawans rescued senior citizens in flood-hit Alappuzha district’s Puthencavu and Thrissur district’s Arattupuzha on Thursday. The death toll has risen to 73 across the state. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for eight districts of the state. It has predicted heavy to very heavy rains at most places in Wayanad, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kasaragod, Malappuram, Palakkad, Idukki and Ernakulam Districts.
