Lalbagh Flower Show held in Bengaluru in honor of Indian Armed Forces

Bengaluru (Karnataka), Aug 05 (ANI): On the occasion of 72nd Independence Day celebrations, 208th Lalbagh flower show was conducted in Bengaluru to pay a floral tribute to the Indian Armed Forces. The flower show started on August 4 and will continue till August 15.This year’s theme of freedom fighters was chosen to inculcate patriotism and inspire children to join Indian Army. This year’s show is categorised into three sections. The first show will have 17 attractions including Amar Jawan Jyoti, ISRO Satellite launching vehicle and war missile models, and vertical garden around the light house. The second one will be outside the glasshouse which will have seven attractions including a dancing peacock, mega floral flow and hanging flowers. Lastly, six attractions will be in the selected areas of Lalbagh, which will have an exhibition of 200 old wood carving and fruits and vegetable attractions. The exhibition will showcase more than 87 varieties of seasonal flowers, such as Medinilla, Anthorium, Orchids, Vinka, and Bougainvilla and various other plants. Around two crore were spent to create this flower show.
