New Delhi, Aug 09 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy said that during the time of independence, Mahatma Gandhi did everything possible that would make Britishers leave India. While commenting on Dalai Lama’s statement about Jinnah, Swamy said, “As far as Dalai Lama’s sentiments are concerned, these issues hold value only for historical debates. Yes, Mahatma Gandhi had thought that partition can be stopped if Jinnah would be a minority prime minister. Gandhi was doing everything with a point of view that would make Britishers go away from India. These have now become achromatic question that hardly matters”.
