New Delhi, Aug 24 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Friday ordered that water level at Mullaperiyar Dam to be maintained at 139.99 feet till August 31. The court had on August 17 asked Kerala’s subcommittee to examine the Dam. The committee also needs to ensure the water level in the Mullaperiyar Dam won’t exceed 139 feet. The state government on August 23 told the Supreme Court that the sudden release of water from the Mullaperiyar Dam was one of the reasons which caused floods in Kerala.
