Dornapal (Chhattisgarh), Aug 24 (ANI): Maya, a girl from Naxal-affected Sukma’s Dornapal has become the first girl from the district to qualify for Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery. Beating all odds she is all set to now study medicine and become a doctor. Dornapal is infamous for notorious Naxal activities. Maya was just 10 years old when her father passed away, but that didn’t hold her back. Despite financial crisis, Maya continued to pursue her dream and finally achieved it. “I have always dreamt of becoming a doctor. I would like to dedicate my service as a doctor to the people of this place”, she said. “Our family and Maya had to face a lot of financial crisis after the death of our father. Even after facing some many difficulties, Maya remained determined towards her aim and achieved it. We are very happy with her success. It’s a matter of pride”, said her sister.
