Mumbai, Aug 09 (ANI): Last rites of Major Kaustubh Rane were held in Mumbai on Thursday. To show their respect for the slain Major, Mumbaikars sprinkled flowers on Mira road as the convoy carrying mortal remains of the Major arrived. Major Rane with three other jawans Rifleman Hameer Singh, Mandeep Singh and Vikramjeet Singh died in an attempt to foil an infiltration bid in Gurez Sector in Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir. On August 8, security forces gunned down at least five terrorists in J&K’s Baramulla. The encounter started between the security forces and terrorists in Rafiabad.
