NASA blasts off its ‘Parker Solar Probe’ to touch the Sun

Cape Canaveral (USA), Aug 12 (ANI): America’s space agency National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) on Sunday launched its spacecraft towards the Sun. With this launch, NASA is on a historic mission to protect the Earth by unveiling the mysteries of dangerous solar storms. The Parker Solar Probe rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Heavy rocket named Delta-IV carried Parker Solar Probe to space at (07:31 GMT). It aims to get closer than any human-made object in history to the center of our solar system. The successful launch of Parker Solar Probe came after a failed attempt on August 11. The probe is designed to plunge into the Sun’s atmosphere, known as the corona, during a seven-year mission. Parker Solar Probe is to travel 7 times closer to the hot planet than any other previous space aircraft.
