Kodagu (Karnataka), Aug 24 (ANI): The Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday visited Kodagu and met people affected by flood and landslides in the district. Assuring Central government’s assistance in relief and rehabilitation process of affected regions, the Minister said, “I’ll definitely meet Nitin Gadkari to discuss the issue of roads. I’ll speak to Home Minister because he takes care of National disaster relief funding & I’ll certainly go back to Prime Minister to give him report of what I’ve seen here”. The devastating floods and landslides in the region claimed at least six lives.
