New Delhi, Aug 09 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on Thursday cleared Centre’s stand on National Register of Citizens (NRC). He said, “We have been in very close touch with the Government of Bangladesh, both prior to and following the issuance of draft NRC. At all points we have repeatedly assured the government of Bangladesh that this is still a draft prepared under the orders of the Supreme Court, and the process of identification of Assam is still underway.” He also added that NRC issue is the internal matter of the country and it will not apprehend any ties with Bangladesh.
