Nagpur (Maharashtra), Aug 22 (ANI): Many villages have been affected due to heavy flooding in Sur and Sand rivers in Nagpur which have caused houses and farm lands to submerge under water. One of the residents said, “The rains have started here since yesterday. Due to heavy rains, Sur and Sand rivers have been flooded. Because of floods, various villages on the main routes have been affected. Electricity and mobile connections have also been affected. This has also caused farming lands to submerge in flood waters.” People in the region have complaints against government over not taking adequate steps to prevent the situation. A resident said, “We have complaint against the government that the administration should have worked to prevent these waters from coming to village. People are suffering because no preventive measures were taken.”
