New Delhi, Aug 20 (ANI): President of India Ram Nath Kovind and his wife Savita Kovind paid floral tributes to former President of India Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma on his birth anniversary at Rashtrapati Bhavan, yesterday. Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma was born on August 19 in 1918 in Bhopal. He was the ninth President of India, serving from 1992 to 1997. Sharma was also the eighth Vice President of India, serving under R. Venkataraman. He was also the Chief Minister of Bhopal state from 1952 to 1956, before Bhopal was integrated into the state of Madhya Pradesh.
