Ludhiana (Punjab), Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Aug 18 (ANI): In view of the rising troubles in flood-hit Kerala, the Centre and state government have stepped up to provide help and relief to Kerala. The government of Punjab is sending 1 lakh packets of food products consisting water bottles, skimmed milk, biscuits and sugar. Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had announced Rs 10 crores worth of immediate relief for Kerala. Rs 5 crores are being provided in form of ready-to-eat food material. Air force team will lift the item and supply in the flood affected areas. Amongst other relief materials being provided were baby diapers and sanitary pads. Coimbatore also supplied relief material for Kerala today. Heavy rains continue to batter the state with death toll reaching up to 320 and more than 2.2 lakh people in relief camps.
