Handwara (J&K), Aug 10 (ANI): The security forces on Friday recovered weapons in large number after the Rafiabad encounter. The weapons were recovered from Jammu and Kashmir’s Handwara. The encounter took place on August 8 wherein five terrorists were killed in Baramulla district’s Rafiabad area. Four AK-47, a pistol and other ammunition were recovered from the terrorists. Brigadier DR Rai of Rashtriya Rifles (RR) said, “One soldier got injured and was evacuated to hospital by a helicopter. On detailed search four AK-47, one pistol and large amount of warlike ammunition were recovered. As assessment of recovered items suggested that the group belongs to LeT.”
