Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Sonam Wangchuk asks for better government education system for all

Mumbai, Aug 05 (ANI): The Maharashtra government recognised education reformer Sonam Wangchuk for being awarded the Ramon Magsaysay Award, in Mumbai on Saturday. Sonam Wangchuk who is better known for being the inspiration behind the famous film ‘3 Idiots’ starring Aamir Khan, has been at the forefront of educational reforms in India. Speaking on his latest accolade, Wangchuk said, “I am very happy that education department of Maharashtra government has given me recognition. We have always tried to make education relatable with real life.” He further stressed on the need for better, uniform educational system in India, “the likes of Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark where there are no private schools, only public schools.”
