Palamu (Jharkhand) Aug 11 (ANI): The Naxal-hit Chak village of Palamu district in Jharkhand is now treading a road to development. Villagers took a sigh of relief as a road connecting their small hamlet to the town has finally emerged. The completion of this 11 kilometer road points towards the shrinking foothold of Naxals, who were against any sort of development in the village. There have been several instances in the past when Naxals impeded the developmental initiatives undertaken by the Government in the village. However, the sustained efforts of security forces in countering the menace of Naxalism have yielded results and the Maoist influence is on a steep decline.
