Restoration work begins in flood-hit Karnataka

Kodagu (Karnataka), Aug 22 (ANI): After the massive destruction created by floods in Karnataka, restoration work and efforts to bring lives back to normal are underway. The state administration has started the restoration work after the water level in parts of state started receding. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is also working with the state administration to improve the situation. Security forces have also been deployed in the flood-hit state. Heavy and incessant rains in Karnataka’s Kodagu triggered floods and landslides in the district. It has left several houses waterlogged and people have been affected in the region. Kodagu region in Coorg district has been affected the worst due to continuous rainfall.
