New Delhi, Aug 03 (ANI): Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan and Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Friday handed over the cooking gas connection to the fifth crore beneficiary of PM Ujjwala Yojana. Five crore families got cooking gas connection under the PM Ujjwala Yojana. Government provided free of cost LPG connections to five crore poor households across over 700 districts. It originally targets set for one of Prime Minister Modi’s signature social schemes nearly eight months ahead of schedule. The main aim of PM Modi government’s scheme is to bring clean cooking fuel to poor households, identified according to the Socio-Economic Caste Consensus (SECC).
