Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Aug 26 (ANI): On the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan women on Friday tied ‘rakhis’ to Gujarat Chief Minster Vijay Rupani. Girls from various schools, colleges and local women visited Chief Minister’s residence to celebrate the festival of raksha bandhan. Gujarat CM took to twitter and extended greetings, he wrote “’Rakhi’ is not mere thread but it symbolises selfless & pious bond between brother & sister. It binds family together. My heartiest Greetings..!” Raksha Bandhan is about brothers taking a pledge to protect their sisters’ honour and respect owing to their relationship. The significance of this festival lies in celebrating the love of brothers and sisters for each other.
