Kathua (Jammu & Kashmir), Sep 08 (ANI): At least 20 children were rescued from an orphanage in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua. 12 boys and 8 girls aged between 4-15 years were rescued after police raided the orphanage premises. The raid was conducted after district administration received complaints of malpractices in the orphanage. The children were shifted to Bal Ashram and Nari Niketan after being rescued. Medical examination has been done of rescued children and further investigation is underway. The man who was running the illegal orphanage has been arrested.
