Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Sep 29 (ANI): Union Defence Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday addressed mediapersons on the second anniversary of Surgical Strike. The Union Minister on being asked about publicising the Surgical Strike, said, “The Army did its job after being in an unprovoked attack in their own military base where they were sleeping. There are always rules of engagement when there is a war. But was there a war? No, they killed sleeping soldiers. And if our soldiers have taken this action, are we to be ashamed of it and we have to keep it under the wraps?” She further added, “I would believe an action of this kind would deter Pakistan from training and sending terrorists. My action will continue at the border irrespective of whether they have learnt a lesson or not.”
