Ramgarh (Jharkhand), Sep 29 (ANI): Once dubbed as the hotbed of Naxalism, Jharkhand state has registered a sharp decline in the red-terror activities thanks to the sustained multi-pronged efforts of government in recent times. However, locals of one such village in Jharkhand, who have for years reeled under the Naxal subjugation, are finding it impossible to shed their fear as they believe that a possible Naxal-resurgence in the near future will doom their life. Here, the Adivasis want to embrace the developmental schemes introduced exclusively for them but an ingrained sense of fear and horror quashes all their dreams and ambitions. They are so terrified that they do want to utter a word about the gross atrocities and human rights violations they have suffered at the hands of Naxals.Lately, the troubles of these tribals have compounded through a systematic campaign launched by Naxals to forcefully recruit gullible villagers. People are forced to flee their homes amid a rising atmosphere of fear. However, they are not ready to break their silence as their past horrific accounts still haunt them and they do not want to witness a repeat.
