Agricultural Secretaries applauds MJSA of Rajasthan

New Delhi, September 20 (ANI): Mukhya Mantri Jal Swavlamban Abhiyan of Rajasthan is gaining popularity day by day in the country. Agricultural secretaries of various states applauded the MJSA in the national conference on Agriculture for Rabi Campaign-2018 which was held in Pusa campus in New Delhi. They also emphasised on the implementation of this campaign to other states. Sriram Vedire, Chairman of Rajasthan River Basin and Water Resources Development Authority gave a brief presentation on MJSA. During the presentation he said, “The ground water level has increased immensely in the state and the acres of agricultural land has turned into irrigated land. Under this campaign farmers are using micro methods for irrigation.” During the first phase of the campaign, agricultural production has increased in 47 hectares of land. Approximately 95,000 activities related to water conservation in the first phase and around 130,000 activities in second phase have been completed. On its ongoing third phase, 15200 activities have been completed so far. Work is being done in coordination with nine departments of State Government in this campaign.
