Baba Ramdev’s ‘Acharyakulam’ to get a massive new campus in Haridwar

Haridwar (Uttarakhand), Sep 26 (ANI): Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev is set to inaugurate a massive school campus, ‘Acharyakulam’ on September 27. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah will inaugurate the high-tech campus, in the presence of various other dignitaries such as Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat. Baba Ramdev’s ‘Acharyakulam’ boasts of excellent students who have scored over 99 percent in 10th standard CBSE exams. This education system stresses on learning of culture and spirituality alongside the formal education system. Students are taught Vedas and CBSE curriculum side by side. The vast campus can host nearly 2000 students in their residential facility. Baba Ramdev’s take on education through these ‘Acharyakulam’ has been to bring in an effective replacement of the ‘Macaulay’ education system, which he considers as an enslaving system put in place by the British. He believes ‘Acharyakulam’ will play a significant role in taking India out of the ‘trap’ of foreign system of education. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of the inception of ‘Acharyakulam’ in 2013.
