Mumbai, Sep 10 (ANI): Congress-led Bharat Bandh, backed by various opposition parties has disrupted daily life across the nation. The Bandh is against the recent hike in fuel and gas prices. The shutdown will be observed from morning till early evening. Various kinds of protest marches are underway across cities. Congress workers staged a ‘Rail Roko’ protest at Andheri railway station in Mumbai. Police intervened to disperse the growing crowd, but to no effect. The protestors crowded the station shouting slogans against rising prices. Protestors took to the rail tracks during protest, which the police cleared for incoming trains. A similar kind of protest was seen in Odisha’s Sambalpur where workers blocked rail services. Protests have affected the mobility of commuters as public transport is not plying in certain areas. On one side Bharat Bandh is being observed and on the other further hike in fuel prices in certain cities was experienced today morning.
