New Delhi, Sep 14 (ANI): Congress leader PL Punia on Friday stated that CCTV footage of Parliament would reveal that absconder liquor baron Vijay Mallya met Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and the latter spoke with Mallya in detail. Speaking on the issue, Punia said, “For two and a half years Finance Minister Arun Jaitley kept silence. But now when Vijay Mallya revealed that he met Jaitley then the latter accepted it. On March 1, 2016 during the budget session, Mallya came to the Central Hall of the Parliament and met Jaitley. I was there and saw Jaitley in the corner of Central Hall talking to Mallya in detail. Two days after, when Mallya absconded I said that he has escaped due to Bharatiya Janata Party’s conspiracy. Even if Jaitley deny, CCTV footage can tell that Mallya spoke with Jaitley.” Punia said that on this issue, he has always firmly stated that he found Mallya meeting with Jaitley in the Parliament. Earlier, fugitive liquor baron Mallya claimed that he met FM Jaitley before leaving the country in March 2016.
