Patna (Bihar), Sep 28 (ANI): Chemists went on strike to protest against the central government’s move to regularise e-pharmacy in Bihar’s Patna on Friday. Chemist shops have been closed in Patna. The shops are closed as All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD) has called for a day-long nationwide strike. The strike is against Centre’s move to regularise online pharmacies. The AIOCD has opposed the Centre’s decision, stating e-pharmacy poses threat to their business. The Union Health Ministry came out with draft rules on sale of drugs by e-pharmacies. The aim is to regulate online sale of medicines across the country and provide patients accessibility to medicines from authentic online portals.
