Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 14 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the Devi Awards function, honouring women and their contribution to society, in Lucknow on Friday. Speaking at the function, CM Yogi said, “I saw that despite poverty or insufficient incomes girls were coming to schools. Even the strength of the class had more girls than boys. Past year I saw that families were sending their boys to public schools and girls to government schools. I asked authorities to use the same syllabus of public schools in primary schools. Despite that girls were still ahead of boys. I asked them to give the same, nice uniform of public schools to these girls. They were given uniforms, bags, books, sweaters and other facilities. The mid-day meal shouldn’t be the same. Contribution of women in society is commendable and welcome.”
