Mumbai, Sep 29 (ANI): Families and friends of people who died in Elphinstone stampede last year, paid homage at the railway station on the first anniversary of tragic incident. At least 23 people died in on foot-over bridge stampede connecting Parel-Elphinstone Road stations on September 29, 2017. People feel that there should be a sense of responsibility within people while walking on crowded public spaces. In February 2018, a new bridge constructed by Indian Army was inaugurated.
