Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu), Sep 18 (ANI): Gifting fuel as a present to newlyweds is becoming a trend after incidents of wedding guests presenting petrol and diesel as gifts are coming to notice. A couple was gifted 5 litres of diesel and 4 litres of petrol by groom’s friends at their wedding in Tamil Nadu’s Cuddalore. One of the friends said, “It was a move to make the government aware. We hope that the government will take some measures in this regard (fuel price hike).” People are using this as a move to create awareness against fuel prices souring high, and attract government’s attention. More such incidents have been reported in Tamil Nadu.
