Kanpur/ Varanasi (UP), Sep 07 (ANI): Incessant rains in the past few days in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur and Varanasi have increased the water levels in the river Ganges. The river water also flooded banks and water entered the residential areas as well causing flood-like situation. Water rose to knee-length level, creating flood-like situation. Water level on roads made it difficult for locals to abide by their regular chores.
