New Delhi, Sep 04: Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) Chief Manjit Singh GK, who was physically assaulted twice in the cities of New York and Yuba City during his religious visit to the United States of America in August, has accused the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) – the spy agency of Pakistan for the attacks made on him and his aides. He says the plans to attack him and other peace messengers were hatched in Islamabad and were executed in the United States. He categorically attacked Patwant Singh Pannun, the linchpin of ‘Sikhs for Justice’ a Pak-backed group demanding a separate homeland called Khalistan for Sikhs , and the chief propagandist— regularly floating anti-India sentiments across European and American countries, saying he was frustrated as he failed to sway Sikh diaspora in his recent anti-India programmes. A resolute Sing, unfazed by these attacks says that he would never support a violent recourse for any agenda and will continue to work in the welfare of Sikhs through his peaceful means. The repeated attacks on the peaceful Sikh leaders are not only indicative of a devious pattern against the Indian leaders but also expose the double standards of the secessionists sitting in Europe and America who otherwise preach homilies all the time. Islamabad is baffled over the fact that it has failed to make any breakthroughs into reviving the dead movement of Khalistan despite pumping millions of dollars into it. It has tirelessly been trying to indoctrinate the susceptible Sikhs into joining their satanic movement. However, disillusioned with repeated rhetoric based on violent principles, Sikhs across the globe have rejected the idea of Khalistan. Earlier, in the month of August, ISI’s ambitious anti-India propaganda which sought Sikh support in launching its self-styled referendum campaign in London turned out to be a damp squib as it failed to gather any traction amongst the Sikh diaspora.
