Gurdaspur (Punjab), Sep 25 (ANI): Last rites of Lance Naik Sandeep Singh were performed in his hometown in Punjab’s Gurdaspur with full honour on Tuesday. Singh lost his life in action during an anti-infiltration operation in Jammu & Kashmir’s Tangdhar sector on September 24. He was a part of the Indian Army’s Special Forces that carried out the surgical strikes on militant bunkers along the Line of Control in Pakistan in 2016. The 30-year-old soldier, who is survived by his wife and a five-year-old-son, killed two infiltrators at close range before he succumbed to injuries.
