Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 29 (ANI): Lucknow Director General of Police (DGP) OP Singh called the Lucknow incident as “pure crime”. He also said that the police have ensured compensation for the bereaved family. He said, “It’s an unfortunate incident in which a person was shot dead by two constables. We also constituted a SIT. This is a case of pure crime and if the police constables make excuse of self defence but self defence can’t exceed the threat perception and we got a case lodged. We have also ensured that the bereaved family gets compensation.” On a related note, a youth was shot dead by a police constable in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar area on late night Friday.
