Darjeeling (West Bengal), Sep 04 (ANI): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday said that the main focus of the government is rescue and relief operations in connection with Majerhat Bridge collapse. She said, “Police is investigating the matter and a detailed investigation will be done. Our main focus right now is rescue and relief operations. Our priority is relief and rescue. Rest of the investigation will be done later. We are very worried. We are receiving information from the rescue team on ground. We want to go back as soon as possible. There are no flights in the evening, we are unable to do so.” A portion of South Kolkata’s prominent Majerhat Bridge collapsed today evening. Rescue teams & ambulances arrived at the spot as several are feared trapped under debris.
