Aligarh (Uttar Pradesh), Sep 14 (ANI): A miscreant carrying a bounty of Rs 25,000 was arrested while trying to escape after being stopped by police at a checkpoint last night in Uttar Pradesh’s Aligarh. According to police, some miscreants were trying to flee from the police checkpoint and started firing at them. The police also started retaliatory firing in which one miscreant was shot and has been taken to hospital. The other, however, has been arrested. The police are trying to arrest other miscreants who escaped. Atul Kumar Srivastava, Additional Superintendent of Police (City), Aligarh said, “During the police checking we tried to stop a car but the driver did not stop. At some distance the car stopped and some miscreants started firing at police after coming out of the car and tried to escape. The police started retaliatory firing in which one miscreant was shot and has been taken to hospital. Another miscreant was arrested. However, the other miscreants were successful in fleeing from the spot.”
